Biography
Bay Area born artist Bazialini was born on
September 2nd in Berkeley, California into a family
of musicians and artists. His father a street
hustling pimp with an abundance of musical talent
was considered a percussion genius with how he
played the congas. Unfortunately, the drug use
and fast life his father kept made his actions as a
Father inconsistent and at best unpredictable. It
was a great lesson Bazialini learned as he
watched his father battle his demons and rise
back to the top.
Primarily raised in East Oakland Bazialini
learned at an early age how to hustle and read the
streets.
Bazialini would begin to find his voice as a an
emcee after his dream of being a football player
was ended due to severe car accident. It was then
he began to write about his life and tell the stories
of survival and triumph.
In 2005 Bazialini coined the phrase “Cali Crunk” to
describe his music. It has the hard hitting in your
face energy of west coast rap mixed with the
playerlistic flavor of the south.
Some refer to Bazialini as the lyrical Van Gough
the way he laces his music with images of
growing up in the streets of Oakland during the
days of D-Boys, Side shows, and street life.
Bazialini has survived many hard times in his life;
from living in a crack house with his father, to
almost loosing his life on the streets of Oakland.
He admits growing up sometimes- - it was so
tough and some would say it's a bona fide miracle
that he's come so far. Bazialini believes
it’s less about where you come from and more
about what you are doing to get to where you want
to be.
